世界のボクサー、メイウェザー。日本の新星、那須川天心。
この二人の試合が、大晦日で行われる事が先日発表された矢先に、かなり悲報なニュースが飛び込んできた。
それは、メイウェザー選手から試合中止の宣告だった…
かなり期待していた試合だったので、未だに信じられず、大晦日の為の演出であってくれと願っている自分がいます
メイウェザーと那須川天心の試合中止の理由とは
メイウェザーと那須川天心の試合中止の理由は、ライジンの運営陣とメイウェザー本人とに、今回の試合内容の認識の違いがあった事にあるらしい。
那須川天心との試合についても、記者会見後、世界中から、『誰なんだそいつは』『何をやってるんだメイウェザー』などなど、様々な批判があったのも事実みたい。
そこで、メイウェザーが契約内容を再度見直す事になったのでしょう
メイウェザーとライジンとの契約内容とは
メイウェザーとライジンとの当初の契約内容は、
『高額なファイトマネー』『観客は少数の裕福なお客様』という内容で、日本を含め、世界に配信される試合中継だとは聞かされていなかったらしい。
その上、日本に来日するまで、メイウェザー本人は、那須川天心を知らなかったみたいで、記者会見直前に、今回のオファーの全貌を確認し困惑した状態のまま、記者会見に望んだみたいです。

floydmayweatherNow that I am back on U.S. soil after a long and disappointing trip to Tokyo, I now have the time to address you, my fans and the media in regard to the upcoming event on December 31st that was recently announced.
First and foremost, I want it to be clear that I, Floyd Mayweather, never agreed to an official bout with Tenshin Nasukawa. In fact (with all due respect) I have never heard of him until this recent trip to Japan.
Ultimately, I was asked to participate in a 9 minute exhibition of 3 rounds with an opponent selected by the “Rizen Fighting Federation”.
What I was originally informed of by Brent Johnson of “One Entertainment” was that this was to be an exhibition put on for a small group of wealthy spectators for a very large fee.
This exhibition was previously arranged as a “Special Bout” purely for entertainment purposes with no intentions of being represented as an official fight card nor televised worldwide. Once I arrived to the press conference, my team and I were completely derailed by the new direction this event was going and we should have put a stop to it immediately.
I want to sincerely apologize to my fans for the very misleading information that was announced during this press conference and I can assure you that I too was completely blindsided by the arrangements that were being made without my consent nor approval.
For the sake of the several fans and attendees that flew in from all parts of the world to attend this past press conference, I was hesitant to create a huge disturbance by combating what was being said and for that I am truly sorry.
I am a retired boxer that earns an unprecedented amount of money, globally, for appearances, speaking engagements and occasional small exhibitions.
ライジンが提案したメイウェザーへのファイトマネーとは
ライジンとメイウェザーの間で、契約が不成立に至った経緯の中で、ファイトマネーの認識の違いについては語られてない事から推測すると、ライジンは、メイウェザーが納得するだけのファイトマネーを用意していた事が予想される。
しかし正式にどれだけのファイトマネーがかけられていたのかは不明。
またはこうも考えられる。
『ライジンが用意したファイトマネーでは、世界中継される試合などできない』と考えたのかもしれない。実際に、メイウェザーの過去のコメントで、
『100万円で戦うファイターが、10万円で戦うわけがないと』
とにかく残念すぎる
メイウェザーと那須川天心との試合。
世界ではどういう反応だったのかは知らないが、日本では確実に胸が熱くなる思いを募らせた人は多いでしょうし、その試合を見たいが為に、すでに高額のチケットを購入した人も多いでしょう。
できれば、ウソであってほしいニュースですし、今後チケット購入者に、どの様にライジンが対処するのかもしっかりと見ておきたい。
チケット購入者への今後の対応
メイウェザーと那須川天心との試合中止後、ライジンがチケット購入者へ、どういう対応をするのか、実際に、株式会社ドリームファクトリーワールドワイドに電話をして聞いてみた所、以下の様な回答でした。
『2018年11月8日現在の時点で、正式にメイウェザー選手出場中止の内容が、確定したという事実が確認されていない為、中止の正式確認が取れ次第、今回の件についての報告、チケット代の対応を決めていく』
だそうです。
